30 January 2015

Canberra Science & Innovation Precinct is a collaboration between ANU and CSIRO, with assistance from the ACT Government under the Strategic Opportunities Funding program. This initiative brings together the key research institutions and related agencies in the ACT to focus research intensity in the region, beginning with natural and environmental sciences. Building on last year's CSIP Vision Report, this second phase of the project completes the high level planning by identifying the key Opportunity Areas and outlining an Action Agenda to realise the benefits of effective collaboration between the major research institutions in Canberra.

CSIP Vision Report

15 December 2013

Canberra Science & Innovation Precinct is a collaboration between ANU and CSIRO, with assistance from the ACT Government under the Strategic Opportunities Funding program. This initiative brings together the key research institutions and related agencies in the ACT to focus research intensity in the region, beginning with natural and environmental sciences. The precinct will grow around its scientific, educational, government and policy interfaces to unite academic and applied research with government and industry needs. Over several months our team collected input from individuals and organisations via online surveys, supported the project's steering committee, conducted structured interviews with key stakeholders, and facilitated workshops to clarify a vision for science, research and innovation collaboration in Canberra.

ASEAN-Australia Development Cooperation Program — Phase II: Services Diagnostics and Needs Assessment Study

25 January 2013

Liberalisation of trade in services and associated domestic reforms is fundamental to the realisation of the ASEAN Economic Community. However, this requires real liberalisation, not simply 'on paper' liberalisation in the form of commitments under the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Services. The in-country fieldwork and other analysis undertaken in this Services Diagnostic and Needs Assessment Study helped identify constraints and provided a list of potential technical assistance and capacity building projects to help address them, both from a primarily cross-cutting but also a sectoral perspective.
