Reforming Myanmar's higher education

The Australian National University presents Dr Aung Thu, Rector of the University of Yangon, delivering a key note address on higher education reforms in Myanmar. 

The address will be followed by a discussion facilitated by co-founder of New Mandala, Dr Nicholas Farrelly, with a panel of experts in Myanmar's history, politics and culture.

Join us for an informed and open discussion of the higher education elements of Myanmar's Reform Agenda.

Myanmar Ideas Forum is on Wednesday 8 October 2014, 6pm to 7.30pm at ANU Commons. Everyone with an academic or general interest in Myanmar is welcome to attend and light refreshments will be served.

The Forum is part of the GPFD activity Developing Research Capacity at the University of Yangon, a partnership between UY and ANU to improve the quality of the University of Yangon's research capacity, particularly in the areas of law and demographics, in order to strengthen evidence based policy making in Myanmar.
